Ann Chatham grew up listening to fiction read and folklore told. When she's not reading other people's books or wasting time on the internet, she mostly makes things: worlds, clothing, bookshelves, wildlife gardens, dinner... In real life, she shares a small house near Baltimore with her husband and their cat, and tries unsuccessfully not to fill it with too many interesting things.

Oh, and it's "THANN-uh-tay," slightly butchered from the ancient Greek, after the winged psychopomps Hypnos and Thanatos. I'm only in it for the wings, really; I don't know any dead warriors.
